Wonderful moisturizing lotion!

Mar 27, 2012 by JOANNE

I tried this product when I received a sample from a local Duane Reade in NYC. After using J&J's baby lotion (got free bottle from the hospital), I noticed little red patches on my son's skin. (I had also been using the J&J baby wash that was from the hospital). His doc said it was probably baby eczema, which was common within the first year. After switching to a milder soap, I wanted to keep my son's skin moist and soft. Many of the natural "milder" baby lotions at the store were so expensive... and if it didn't work I would've spent the $ for nothing.

I saw the sample of EcoStore's Baby moisturizer in my stash and tried it out. First off, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell. The scent of lavender and eucalyptus is soothing, and not overpowering at all. It calms me down too (and we all know a calm mama makes for a calmer baby). The moisturizer did not leave a greasy feeling once rubbed into the baby's skin. It never felt chemical-like or irritated my son's skin. I used it all over his back, chest, legs, arms, and even face. Even after washing my hands, they never felt greasy or slippery, yet enough of the moisturizer had absorbed quickly into my skin that left it supple.

So, why only 4 stars...I actually wish I could give 4.5 Stars. The only qualm I have with the product is that it's a bit watery. Perhaps it was the little sample pack that I used, but I noticed it with the other samples I had (3 packs in all). I cut the sample pack open and if it tipped over, some of the product tended to spill out. Also, I noticed other brand lotions I tried kept his skin softer a little longer (albeit spots of red-patches). With Eco-store's moisturizer, there was no irritation, but in the wintertime, I had to reapply (maybe 8-10+hrs after his bath). It's not as viscous or thick as what I'm used to in a traditional "lotion". However, these are such a small details that if you can get over them, the pros definitely outweighs the cons.

Best lotion ever!

Since it is winter time my son who is 1 year old has been having a lot of rough dry patches on his skin, well since using this lotion they are gone! You can tell a huge difference in his skin since using this lotion. It smells just like Sleepy Time Baby Bath and the Baby Shampoo. Such a Great lotion
